Fiona Hymns, originally from Swanage in Dorset, is a graduate of Royal Holloway, University of London and the Royal Northern College of Music. She has performed for companies including Grange Park Opera, Buxton Festival, Longborough Festival Opera and Festival d'Aix-en-Provance. Notable recent roles include Nedda (Pagliacci), Santuzza (Cavalleria Rusticana) and Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni) for Opera on Location, Alcina (Alcina) for the Two Moors Festival, Countess Almaviva (Le Nozze di Figaro) for St Paul’s Opera and Adina (L’Elisir d’Amore) for Frome Music. 

Fiona is also in demand as a concert soloist. Recent performances include Handel’s Dixit Dominus and Bach’s St John Passion with London Lawyers’ Music, Rutter’s Requiem with the Purbeck Arts Club Choir and Faure’s Requiem with London Medical Orchestra. She was a Britten-Pears Young Artist in 2018 and 2019, studying Wolf Lieder and Britten Song, and recently performed in masterclasses with David Butt Philip and Rosalind Plowright. 

In addition to her performance work, Fiona is an experienced vocal leader, directing the choir for the family service at St Peter's Eaton Square and East London community choir, Women Sing East. She is a member of the vocal faculty at Latymer Upper and Lady Eleanor Holles Schools.
